I bought these goggles because they were very inexpensive, and the photo looked nice. I was impressed with them when I received them – well made, quality materials, and not “cheap” feeling. However…
Once I got into the pool and got them adjusted, I realized that they were more like a diving mask than swim goggles. The eyepieces do not seal individually – they are open between the eyes. This means that the mask has to seal to your face, not to each eye. I sealed them loosely at first, but they kept leaking. So I kept tightening them until, once sealed, my eyes felt they were bulging from the negative pressure.
Still, even though well sealed and tight, they frequently break seal while swimming laps. If I am doing a crawl-stroke or breast-stroke, the bubbles from my exhalation break the seal, forcing me to stop and re-seal them.
These also don’t work on kids very well. I have three kids younger than 13, and the goggles couldn’t seal on two of them because of their design. I think my kids have fairly standard-shaped noses and faces, so let the buyer consider this if you intend for younger children to use them.
On the positive side, they are well-constructed, made from quality materials, and hardly fog up at all.
If you are looking for something to use for serious lap-swimming, these probably aren’t for you. If you are looking for keeping your eyes dry in the pool or for looking into tide pools or shallow snorkeling, these will probably do the trick.
